Job Role: Engineer Combustion

Location: HMP Littlehey

We are seeking a dedicated Engineer – Combustion to join our team at HMP Littlehey, a Category C & Male prison. As a member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the prison. You will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of prisoners, employees, and visitors. Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in a role as a heating engineer, a combustion engineer or equivalent
  • Familiar with and able to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Familiar with and able to work to Gas safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry Standards
  • Experience of working with commercial catering gas appliances would be beneficial
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
  • CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units
  • COCN1 - Core commercial gas safety certificate and relevant commercial units
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills

Holidays: 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays.
