About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our Bexley Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders in the community, providing specialist assessment, rehabilitation, and advice.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist speech and language therapy input to clients with communication and swallowing impairments.
  • Work as a lone and autonomous practitioner in the community, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to manage clients' needs.
  • Supervise therapy assistants, Speech & Language Therapy students, and Band 5 Speech & Language Therapists.
  • Contribute to service development projects and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
  • HCPC Registered.
  • Registered member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Evidence of completed post-qualification dysphagia competencies.
