Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Assistant with native-level fluency in German to join our client's dynamic team in a finance and accounting role. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing sales ledgers, credit control, cash flow management, and preparing period end journals and VAT returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Ledger Management: Process customer invoices, handle customer queries, and allocate receipts efficiently.
  • Credit Control: Monitor and manage overdue accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments.
  • Cash Flow Management: Maintain and update the Cash Flow Forecast to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Period End Journals: Assist in the preparation and posting of period end journals.
  • VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in German: Native-level fluency in German is essential for this role.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting position.
  • VAT Knowledge: A strong understanding of VAT regulations is highly advantageous.
  • Qualifications: Accounting qualifications are highly advantageous, but not essential.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
