Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (Level 1) to join our multidisciplinary Diabetes Team at York Hospital as a Diabetes Inpatient Specialist Nurse. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to support the management of people with diabetes in hospital settings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to patients with diabetes, working autonomously and within the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
  • Support healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality inpatient care, promoting patient self-management, and improving safety and reducing risk.
  • Offer expert advice on peri-operative insulin regimes and insulin dose adjustments, ensuring compliance with current protocols.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (Level 1)
  • Post-registration qualification in specialty
  • Non-medical prescriber - as determined by service needs
Salary and Benefits:

The annual salary for this position is approximately £43,041, rising to £57,247 upon completion of relevant training. Additional benefits include access to the NHS Pension Scheme, generous holiday entitlement, relocation package, and comprehensive learning opportunities.
