Job Description

This role involves working as a Customer Delivery Driver/Picker for Apetito Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering frozen meals to customers in a timely manner, picking orders within the coldstore, and using our app to update customers' deliveries. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a full UK manual driving licence, and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver frozen meals to customers in a timely manner
  • Pick orders within the coldstore
  • Use our app to update customers' deliveries
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times
  • Undertake pre-shift inspection of your van
  • Drive safely, responsibly, and within the law
  • Clean and refuel your van as and when needed
  • Contact the office with any discrepancies or delays
  • Ensure customer confidentiality
  • Help the office team and picking team when required
  • Report health and safety, stock quality, and mechanical issues
  • Assist the team if another member of the team is absent or on holiday
  • Carry out local marketing activities such as leaflet door drops and sheltered housing visits to attract new customers
Qualifications/Personal Qualities
  • Experience within a customer service-based role
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Basic computer literacy, including use of phone apps
  • Evidence of work stability
  • Basic secondary education

The ideal candidate will be a friendly, approachable, and reliable individual who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. They will have good attendance and timekeeping and be willing to work as part of a team. The role involves working with elderly and vulnerable customers, so a Standard DBS Disclosure is required.
