Sales & Purchase Ledger Manager

Join Brio Leisure's Finance team as a Sales & Purchase Ledger Manager, where you will play a crucial role in managing the Sales and Purchase Ledger functions. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the ledgers, in accordance with company policies and statutory legislation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the processing of sales ledger transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Oversee the collection process of Membership Direct Debit payments, ensuring compliance with data processing and banking laws.
  • Reconcile income from Point of Sale to Bank statement, ensuring accurate processing within the financial system.
  • Raise sales invoices and statements, ensuring timely issuance to debtors and supporting team members with query resolution.
  • Support Aged Debtor management through engagement with monthly review meetings and query resolution.
  • Manage purchase ledger transactions, ensuring accurate and timely processing, and authorizing purchase liabilities.
  • Process purchase ledger invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate authorization and accounting.
  • Manage the company's purchase ordering system, ensuring correct approval levels and adherence.
  • Ensure VAT position is reflected correctly during sales and purchase ledger processing.
  • Manage creditor payments, ensuring timely payment in accordance with company credit terms.
  • Support Aged Creditor management through engagement with monthly review meetings and query resolution.
  • Plan and prioritize workload, ensuring adequate resources for team members to complete roles in a timely manner.
  • Manage, coach, and develop Finance Assistants, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Direct queries to the correct team member through management of the Finance Team Email Inbox.
  • Proactively review and improve departmental systems and processes.
  • Maintain accurate records for the Sales and Purchase Ledger area, archiving when not required.
  • Support the Finance Manager and team with monthly/annual accounts and audit information requests.
