Job Summary:

We are seeking a Childcare Coordinator to join our team at WilmingtonList. As a Summer Camp Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and leading activities for children aged elementary school age. The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising and/or teaching children, as well as knowledge of community recreation work and counseling techniques.

Duties:
  • Activity Planning: Plan games, arts and crafts activities, and outdoor events for the summer camp program.
  • Supervision: Supervise children during field trips to the movies, library, parks, playgrounds, water park, and other destinations.
  • Behavior Management: Apply behavior management techniques to ensure children's safety and well-being.
  • Maintenance: Assist with setting up scheduled activities and general facility maintenance.
  • Enforcement: Enforce rules, camp policies, and maintain order throughout the summer camp program.
  • Safety: Ensure children are kept in a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Communication: Provide information to participants and parents regarding upcoming events and programs.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience working with children aged elementary school age.
  • License: Valid NC driver's license; CDL preferred.
  • Certification: Pass background and drug screening.

The estimated salary for this position is $35,000 - $40,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
