Critical M&E Shift Leader Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical M&E Shift Leader to join our team at PRS. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance services within a designated section of our critical site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis, and manage corrective action and reports or quotes required.
  • Support and facilitate technical subcontractors/vendors during planned or reactive service visits and minor works, ensuring they conform to site procedures and agreed method statements.
  • Monitor, maintain, investigate, acknowledge, and adjust as deemed necessary the BMS and SCADA.
  • Undertake daily plant walk rounds to note and proactively repair any defects, and maintain plant rooms in a clean, tidy, and safe condition.
  • Manage, rectify, and record defects through the helpdesk to ensure SLA timeframes are always met.
  • Provide rapid and effective response to customer and helpdesk requirements.
  • Review RAMS (Risk assessment and method statements) and subcontractor competencies before work permits are authorised.
  • Escalate any issue that affects the availability, health and safety, and security of the site.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
  • Adhere to all current company and Critical Engineering Management policies and procedures, and take an active approach in the continuous improvement of these procedures.
Requirements:
  • Trade trained with ideally 3 years' experience in the building services.
  • City & Guilds Qualified Electrical Level 3.
  • Good building services knowledge.
  • Excellent client-facing skills.
  • 5 years' experience in hard and soft services facilities management.
