Affirm, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Global Immigration Manager to spearhead our end-to-end immigration lifecycle programs. As we expand internationally, this role will play a pivotal part in supporting critical talent and driving the company's growth.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in global immigration, with a proven track record of managing complex programs and ensuring compliance with existing and changing laws and regulations. They will be responsible for building and managing a scalable global immigration program, developing and continuously improving program policies and processes, and providing consultations to employees and cross-functional team members on immigration and global mobility-related matters.

This position requires a strong analytical and project management skillset, with the ability to distill complex regulations and processes to partners who are not familiar with immigration matters. The successful candidate will be an empathetic and clear communicator, with outstanding discretion when handling sensitive and/or confidential information.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and managing a scalable global immigration program that delivers a premium experience to employees while guaranteeing adherence with existing and changing laws and regulations.
  • Managing vendor relationships to ensure compliance with service level agreements, contract fees, adherence to budgets, and escalating concerns.
  • Developing and continuously improving program policies and processes while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of immigration regulations and changes globally.
  • Conducting reviews of immigration data, processes, and policies to identify gaps, drafting policy and process revisions, and ensuring audit-readiness.
  • Facilitating training and developing resources and tools to educate internal partners on immigration policies, processes, and updates.
  • Providing consultations to employees and cross-functional team members on immigration and global mobility-related matters.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to develop programs and policies on immigration dependencies related to Global Mobility.
  • Providing critical subject matter expertise for corporate development activity, i.e., mergers and acquisitions, and global expansion efforts.

Requirements include:

  • 8+ years of experience in global immigration, with European experience required, inclusive of Posted Worker Directive compliance.
  • Demonstrated success independently managing a global immigration program.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with a proven track record to thrive in ambiguity, design, and communicate clear processes, and a detail-oriented yet flexible approach to problem-solving.
  • Empathetic and clear communication skills, with the ability to distill complex regulations and processes to partners who are not familiar with immigration matters, and outstanding discretion when handling sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Strong bias for action and not afraid to 'roll up your sleeves.'
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
