Job Overview:

The successful candidate will provide support to students with hearing impairments, ensuring their inclusion within the classroom setting. As a BSL Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students and teaching staff to facilitate effective communication and promote learning opportunities tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with hearing impairments, utilizing British Sign Language (BSL) where necessary.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt and differentiate learning materials to accommodate the needs of sight-impaired students.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies to promote student progress and development.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Requirements:
