Sustainability Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Lead to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in leading our efforts to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2035.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a framework of initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint across the business.
- Work closely with the Operations and Environmental Management teams to report on plant-level carbon emissions and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the implementation of ESG software to enhance our sustainability reporting and customer support.
- Maintain strong knowledge of sustainability and climate change policies at a regional and industry level.
- Align with corporate sustainability initiatives and execute data-centre-specific pacts.
- Communicate sustainability requirements and policies to all departments.
- Degree in an environmental engineering discipline or relevant Science-based subject.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable engineering, material selection, and lifecycle carbon reduction.
- Experience in a sustainability role and ESG software.
- Good teamworking skills and ability to manage projects to completion.
- Genuine passion and interest in sustainability and low-carbon design.
