Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paediatric Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Safari Day Unit. As a key member of our nursing team, you will provide high-quality care to children and their families, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

As a Paediatric Nurse in the Safari Day Unit, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing holistic family-centred care to children and their families
  • Acting as a role model and expert clinical practitioner
  • Supporting the senior sister in managing the clinical area, including staff management and development
  • Undertaking delegated responsibility for the department in the absence of the Ward/Unit Manager
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Knowledge of child protection issues
  • Understanding of the philosophy of paediatric care and transition of care
  • Awareness of current research and developments within paediatric nursing
  • Awareness of equality and diversity
  • Basic knowledge of computers
Desirable Criteria

Experience at Band 5 in an acute paediatric setting and administration of IV drugs would be advantageous.
