Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our MEP department, you will be responsible for managing project work, undertaking detailed design, and delivering exceptional client service.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong mechanical building services design experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team. You will also be responsible for supervising and monitoring the work of others, advising clients on energy use and conservation, and using specialist software to design systems required for projects.

The salary for this position is estimated at £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project work, undertake detailed design, and deliver exceptional client service
  • Supervise and monitor the work of others in mechanical building services design
  • Advise clients on energy use and conservation, aiming to minimize environmental impact and carbon emissions
  • Use specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM software, as well as mechanical engineering software
  • Produce reports, drawings, and specifications to suit various RIBA design stages
  • Liaise closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors
