Job Opportunity: Town Planner in Truro, Cornwall

We are seeking a skilled Town Planner to join our team at Hunter Dunning Ltd, a leading architecture and planning firm in the South. As a Town Planner, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our region through commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit planning applications to ensure compliance with local and national policies.
  • Provide expert advice on planning matters to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct land development assessments to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Attend meetings and collaborate with colleagues to drive project progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with local and national planning policy changes to inform your work.
  • Produce regular progress reports to track project milestones.
  • Work closely with the land and technical teams to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Support the Planning Director in leading the team and driving business growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Town Planner in the public or private sector.
  • Degree-qualified and working towards Chartership (MRTPI) is highly desirable.
  • Strong client-facing skills and experience.
  • Major development experience, particularly in renewable energy projects, is an advantage.
