The Role

We are seeking a skilled Waiter/Waitress to join our team at Mortimer House. As a key member of our service team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers' satisfaction through exceptional service and creating a warm ambiance. You will possess outstanding interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests warmly and provide menus
  • Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately
  • Respond to guest inquiries, provide recommendations, and address concerns
  • Ensure tables are properly set and presentable
  • Assist in preparing the dining area for service, including cleaning and arranging tables
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Handle payment transactions and maintain a balanced cash register
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
  • Positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to exceed customer expectations
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
