About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Medicine Specialist to join our team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to patients with respiratory conditions, including general respiratory, sleep, and cancer clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services in respiratory medicine as part of a team of respiratory specialists.
  • Participate in clinical and other service activities to ensure a high standard of patient care.
  • Lead the delivery of the lung cancer screening programme review meetings at St George's and work within the lung cancer team.
  • Participate in the delivery of the regional EBUS service.
  • Contribute to service developments and take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.
  • Contribute to the management of the service.
Requirements
  • MRCP or Equivalent
  • Full registration with GMC
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Respiratory and General Medicine via CCT, CESR, or European Community Rights
  • Ability to bronchoscope independently and supervise specialist trainees
Desirable Qualifications
  • An appropriate higher degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent)
  • Advanced Life Support Certificate
  • Postgraduate teaching qualifications
  • Ability to perform EBUS independently
