About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Social Worker to join our Access and Wellbeing Hub as a Safeguarding Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly designed team within our service, responsible for the first point of contact to all queries and safeguarding concerns raised to Adult Social Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage and assess safeguarding concerns received to the Locality Authority in accordance with the S.42 threshold and safeguarding duties under the Care Act 2014.
  • Work alongside individuals, their families and/or advocates and partner agencies to coordinate, gather and assess information relevant to the concerns.
  • Formulate evidence-informed decisions and demonstrate this through the work completed.
  • Undertake duty visits, attend safeguarding meetings, and complete immediate safety planning with individuals as required.
Requirements
  • A social work qualification and SWE registration.
  • Knowledge and understanding of The Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Data Protection Act, and evidence of ability to work to practice guidance/procedure.
  • Ability to work to a high standard, with good communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Competence and confidence in practice, with a critical thinking approach.
