About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join our Legal Team at the London Borough of Lewisham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling a demanding and busy caseload of Adult Social Care matters, including court and advice work.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Senior Social Care Lawyer
  • Handle a caseload of Adult Social Care matters, including court and advice work
  • Advise Social Services clients on all aspects of relevant legislation
  • Prepare legal documentation and advise on social care law
  • Attend meetings with clients and external parties, professionals' meetings and panels as required
  • Carry out legal research

Requirements

We are looking for a qualified lawyer with at least 3 years PQE (Barrister, Solicitor or CILEx) and a current practising certificate. Experience in Adult Social Care Law, preferably from a local authority setting, is desirable.
