The Role:
- Teach Physical Education to male students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a range of abilities and interests.
- Inspire students to develop a lifelong love of physical activity and appreciate the importance of health and fitness.
- Contribute to the development and enrichment of the PE curriculum
- Coach and mentor students in a variety of sports, preparing them for competitions and matches.
- Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and technology to enhance learning
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported
- Collaborate with colleagues within the PE department and across the wider school community
Salary: £42,500 - £62,500 per annum, depending on experience.
Requirements:
- Possesses a strong background in Physical Education or Sports Science, with a relevant degree from a reputable university
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Demonstrates a proven track record of successful PE teaching in a secondary school setting
- Is an enthusiastic and engaging educator with a genuine passion for sports and physical activity.
- Has excellent subject knowledge across a range of sports and coaching techniques.
- Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
- Is a reflective practitioner who is committed to continuous professional development
