Cleaning and Custodial Services Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dumfries and Galloway Council as a Cleaning and Custodial Services Assistant, working in our award-winning team at Langholm School.

As a Cleaning and Custodial Services Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the school premises. You will work closely with the cleaning team to ensure that all areas of the school are clean and tidy.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as part of a team. They will also have a high level of attention to detail and be able to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.

We offer a competitive salary of £23,703 per annum, which is negotiable based on experience.

Full training will be provided to ensure you can perform your duties to a high standard and support performance improvements in the cleaning service using our Find it Clean, Keep it Clean ethos.

Key details:

  • Weekly hours: 14.5
  • Work Schedule:
    • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 3.30pm to 6.45pm
    • Tuesday, Thursday: 3.30pm to 5.50pm
  • Weeks per year: 39.8
