Head of Corporate Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Corporate Services. This is a unique opportunity to lead an area of our Service and work across the organisation to shape and tailor the services we provide to meet the diverse needs of the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to achieve corporate objectives and ensure the delivery of excellent public services.
- Lead major programmes across the organisation, building effective senior relationships and finding the best solution to challenges.
- Manage risk across the county on behalf of Royal Berkshire Fire Authority, ensuring the community is at the heart of decision-making while demonstrating value for money.
- Operate within an increasingly multi-agency context, directly supporting the Fire Authority and Deputy Chief Executives to initiate, develop and influence complex relationships.
- Politically astute with excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to lead and manage teams, including Business Support, Corporate Communication, Committee Services, Data, Performance and Risk, and Programme Office and Inspection.
- Experience of working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, businesses, voluntary organisations and emergency services.
- Strong understanding of organisational performance management and its role in driving improvements in productivity and efficiency.
