The Role Overview
  • The successful candidate will report to the Service Manager and collaborate with service coordinators to ensure seamless communication and task execution.
  • This role involves servicing, repairing, and fault-diagnosing equipment, as well as commissioning new machinery.
  • The individual will be responsible for managing and utilizing the Protean software system effectively.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting site circumstances or changes to site equipment back to the service coordinators in written format.
  • Identifying spare parts requirements on-site, including part numbers, and reporting back to the service coordinators in written format.
  • Communicating customer requirements and solutions to the service coordinators.
  • Referring complaints of service or product failure to the service coordinators for investigation.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • An HND/HNC in an engineering discipline is preferred but not essential.
  • Calmness under pressure and good interpersonal relationship skills are crucial.
  • The candidate must be able to maintain records to a high standard and have sound practical judgement of priorities.
  • Good decision-making, communication, and IT skills are also necessary.
