Key Responsibilities:

  • Yard Maintenance: Ensure that the yard and surrounding areas are kept tidy and maintained to a high standard at all times.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain constant vigilance on health and safety protocols, reporting any issues to the rental office staff.
  • Vehicle Management: Park and position vehicles correctly in designated parking areas, ensuring all vehicles are stored securely in line with company policy.
  • Equipment Preparation: Prepare rental equipment for collection or delivery, ensuring readiness for customer use.
  • Cleanliness Checks: Conduct cleanliness checks on equipment, both interior and exterior, ensuring high standards.
  • Defect Reporting: Report any defects or issues to the Branch Manager and rental office team.
  • Team Supervision: Oversee two valet staff, ensuring vehicles are cleaned and prepared to a retail standard.
  • Customer Support: Support vehicle check-in and check-out with customers at the depot.
  • Vehicle Movements: Prepare vehicles for sales and rental, while managing vehicle movements in the yard safely.
  • Yard Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the two valet bays and keep the yard tidy at all times.
  • Damage Control: Perform vehicle damage control.

Requirements:

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Health and Safety Commitment: Commitment to health and safety regulations.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience: Automotive or vehicle rental experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Similar Experience: Experience in a similar yard or warehouse supervisory role is desirable.
