The Role

Our Restructuring and Insolvency Group provides expert advice on corporate restructuring and insolvency assignments, working closely with clients to navigate complex financial situations. With a strong international bias, the group is involved in high-profile restructuring assignments and international insolvencies, leveraging its cross-border expertise to deliver proactive legal and technical advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on corporate restructuring and insolvency, including advising on complex financial instruments and corporate transactions.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality advice and support to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the delivery of innovative and effective solutions.

What You Will Do

As a member of our Restructuring and Insolvency Group, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of assignments, from advising private equity and financial investors to working with officeholders, creditors, and other counterparties in insolvency proceedings. You will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to delivering exceptional client service and providing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Our Team

The Clifford Chance Global Restructuring & Insolvency team is led by a core group of experienced partners who regularly advise all types of stakeholders on complex restructuring situations. The team has a strong international presence, with frequent partnerships with clients across the globe. Our team's breadth and depth of expertise allow us to provide clients with access to specialists in areas such as pensions, tax, and derivatives, making us well-placed to provide proactive legal and technical advice.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for lawyers with good to solid working knowledge of insolvency and restructuring from a City or equivalent overseas practice or a leading provincial practice. A strong transactional bias would be a distinct advantage, but we will consider applications from lawyers who have had a mix of contentious and non-contentious work. Non-UK qualified lawyers will also be considered.
