Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team at CastleView Group. As a key member of our distribution team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and sort parcels into correct postcodes, providing an excellent delivery experience for customers.
  • Ensure accuracy throughout your shift, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Work in a fast-paced and engaging environment, handling a full range of items sold.
  • Lift and move products up to 23kg in weight, using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
  • Use a pick sheet and hand-held scanner to efficiently manage inventory and fulfill orders.
  • Ensure goods are ready for dispatch, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Communicate effectively as part of a team, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Follow all health and safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Shifts and Salary:

We offer a range of shifts to accommodate different schedules, including:

  • 6am-12pm, 6am-2pm, 10pm-6am
  • £13.50 for days
  • £15.66 nights
  • Day shift overtime: £20.27 per hour for over time 40-50 hours, £27 per hour for over time 50-60 hours
  • Night shift overtime: £23.49 for 40-50 hours, £31.32 for 50-60 hours

We also offer new shifts, including:

  • 6am-12.30pm, 30 hours per week
  • 12.30pm-8pm, 35 hours per week
  • 4pm-9pm, 16 hours per week
  • 2.30am-11am, 40 hours per week
  • 4pm-11pm, full-time 5/7 days, with a requirement to work Mondays on this shift
