Are you a highly experienced lawyer looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for planning and highways law? We are seeking a Principal Planning and Highways Lawyer to join our team at Law Absolute Limited.

This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary of £57,750 - £72,059 DOE, with a management allowance of £1,400 and an excellent benefits package. The job provides a flexible working environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Leading and managing a team of lawyers providing exceptional legal service to public sector clients in planning and highways law.
  2. Providing specialist legal advice to clients and managing a complex caseload of planning and highways matters.
  3. Contributing to the development, training or mentoring of colleagues within the team when required.
  4. Attending meetings and advising on legal issues, governance and procedure.
  5. Deputising for the Head of Property, Planning and Highways when required.
  6. Supervising and managing the work of the team to ensure that professional guidance is given.
  7. Actively seeking out new business development opportunities and promoting the shared legal service.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous managerial and advocacy experience, good knowledge of planning and highways law and practices, and be able to demonstrate your commitment to health and safety and equal opportunities.
