Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Area Sales Manager at Pertemps Telford, you will be responsible for delivering an effective and efficient sales service. This will involve handling administrative and operational tasks to streamline the sales process and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Activities
  • Respond to customer enquiries, providing product information and assisting with order placement.
  • Identify and target potential customers, including egg producers, farms, and food processing companies within the UK and Eire.
  • Generate leads through market research, cold calling, networking, and company visits.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, orders, and customer interactions.
  • Prepare and process sales orders and invoices and coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of products or services.
  • Assist in the preparation and presenting of sales reports and forecasts, which are consistent with organisational requirements.
  • Assist the sales team in preparation of quotes and proposals for customers and follow up, including scheduling of appointments, meetings, travel arrangements for sales reps, and providing administrative support to the team.
  • Stay up to date with product knowledge to effectively assist customers and provide relevant information.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including sales and product management, to understand product features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and potential customers, providing insights to the sales team to help identify new sales opportunities.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and events to represent the company and its products.
Requirements
  • Business Administration NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Minimum GCSE Math and English C grade and above.
  • Excellent IT Skills, including MS Windows, email, and Office 365.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • 1+ years Sales experience minimum.
  • Experience reading and interpreting CAD drawings.
  • Ability to take measurements on-site for customers and liaise with the sales team.
