The Role: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer within Cavendish Nuclear, you will play a crucial role in delivering complex engineering projects across various aspects of the nuclear sector. You will be responsible for managing and executing technical activities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions within project timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to define design requirements, specifications, and procurement needs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and procedures throughout the design process.
  • Conduct technical investigations and analyses to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
  • Contribute to product safety assessments and risk management processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the design and implementation of electrical systems within the nuclear industry.
  • Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
