About the Position

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Advanced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Wiltshire Council. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to work with diverse caseloads, conduct assessments, and promote well-being.As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex cases, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and providing training and support to colleagues. You will also act as an expert advisor on occupational therapy matters, evaluating reasoning and making informed decisions to increase independence and reduce risk.

To be successful in this role, you must have over 3 years of post-qualification experience, a full UK Driver's license, and a strong understanding of occupational therapy laws. You will also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including opportunities for career development and progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage challenging caseloads, conducting OT assessments and applying person-centred principles.
  • Provide professional support and training to Occupational Therapists and other team members.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and social workers for optimal outcomes.
  • Act as an expert advisor on bespoke equipment provision and decision-making.
