We are seeking a skilled Precision Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel estimation, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
About the Role:
The Precision Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for performing detailed quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications. This will involve analyzing plans, sections, and details to accurately measure and quantify structural steel components. Additionally, they will estimate the cost of structural steel based on current market prices, material costs, and labor rates. This will involve preparing a comprehensive breakdown of costs, including materials, fabrication, installation, and transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.
- Analyze plans, sections, and details to accurately measure and quantify structural steel components.
- Estimate the cost of structural steel based on current market prices, material costs, and labor rates.
- Prepare a comprehensive breakdown of costs, including materials, fabrication, installation, and transportation.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess a great eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and customers. They will also have knowledge of steel fabrication processes, installations, and best practices. In addition, the ideal candidate will be aware of industry trends, advancements, and construction codes and regulations.
Benefits:
This is a full-time position with standard working hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm Friday. We offer a competitive salary of £58,000 per annum and opportunities for professional growth and development.
