Job Overview: Rullion is seeking a Rolling Stock Technician to join their team in Glasgow. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading company in the rail industry and contribute to the maintenance and reliability improvement of the fleet based out of the Glasgow Depot.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the maintenance team on site and at incidents off depot.
  • Investigate rolling stock casualties, undertake maintenance, and repair allocated rolling stock to meet production plan requirements.
  • Regularly monitor train defects and failures in traffic and liaise with the customer.
  • Mitigate the risk of in-service failures through proactive intervention.
  • Download and process train diagnostic data, undertake fault finding to an advanced level.
  • Produce complex, analytical technical reports on fault investigation.
  • Liaise with all Siemens departments to support contract delivery.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of Rolling Stock systems/procedures including schematics, fault finding techniques, and download analysis.
  • Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or higher) and experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering environment.
  • Ability to complete records accurately and to procedures.
  • Understands and cares for tools, equipment, and PPE as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety including bio-hazards, manual handling, and COSHH.
  • Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.
