The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Engineer to join our team as a Data Engineer for Financial Innovations. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining financial methodologies that compose our solution. This includes tackling analytical challenges by combining quantitative skills, technological expertise, and knowledge about financial markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply critical thinking and data engineering expertise to enhance our financial data systems and pipelines
  • Leverage knowledge of financial datasets to design, build, and maintain solutions that enable insights and data-driven decisions for our clients
  • Employ an agile approach to create, design, build, and deploy financial data solutions from ideation through rigorous testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Actively contribute to the company's culture of continuous improvement by enhancing our data architecture, sharing insights, and collaborating on financial engineering solutions

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related technical field
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience is required, with 3-5 years of experience preferred in building, maintaining, and optimizing financial data pipelines, systems, or services
  • Advanced programming expertise with proficiency in Python (knowledge of other programming languages like Java or SQL is a plus)
  • Skilled in database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and experienced in handling large-scale financial datasets
  • Proficiency working with financial data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or other similar APIs), including integration, management, and maintenance of external data feeds
  • Strong interest in staying informed about current technologies, financial data trends, and industry best practices, with the ability to assess and implement them in the organization
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
