Network Engineering and Security Manager

The Royal Surrey County NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineering and Security Manager to join their Infrastructure & Unified Communications team on a Two-Year Fixed Term Contract.
This key role is responsible for the technical operation, development, and security of the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring high levels of system availability and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will lead a team of technical staff, manage budgets, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with national policies and regulations.
The main duties of the job include:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining network and telecommunications infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, resilience, and security.
- Integrating and managing various communication platforms, providing user support and training, and handling vendor relationships.
- Developing technology plans, managing budgets, enforcing policies, and planning for disaster recovery.
- Ensuring the network and communication systems operate effectively, securely, and efficiently to support the organization's needs.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in a senior role with Network and Telecoms systems, with demonstrable experience and knowledge of developing requirements into system configuration and service output.
They will also have expertise in 'off the shelf' Enterprise Applications technologies at an enterprise level, proven expertise and experience in the delivery of business requirements capture and analysis developing structured technical specifications.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have strong project and process management skills, with the ability to handle multiple stakeholders, as well as a wide range of tasks.
