Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled HGV Driver to join our team at Orrock Quarry. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for driving and a keen interest in learning more about the construction materials industry. With a focus on delivering our products throughout Fife & Tayside, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for efficiency, safety, and quality. Full training on our products and processes will be provided, ensuring you're well-prepared to meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver concrete, coated asphalt, and aggregates safely and efficiently.
- Liaise and build positive relationships with the internal Distribution Team and external customers.
- Ensure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritizing the health, safety, and environmental standards of Breedon.
- Work closely with the area Transport Manager to optimize delivery schedules and routes.
- Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
Requirements:
- A valid Class C License and a current Driver CPC.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A hard-working and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, with the availability for occasional nights and weekends.
- A genuine interest in the construction materials industry and a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
