Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be a strong, inspirational, hands-on manager who is able to demonstrate proven ability to lead a team dealing with all aspects of revenue collection and billing, and who is ready to identify opportunities to improve established processes to drive further efficiencies.
With the support of the Revenues Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Revenues team, dealing with complex cases, complaints, and appeals to the Valuation Tribunal. You will ensure that the Council maximises revenue collection in line with government legislation and play a crucial role in the completion of government returns and annual billing.
You will have extensive experience of using revenue software, preferably Academy systems, as well as experience of using a document management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of revenue collectors and billing specialists
- Manage complex cases, complaints, and appeals to the Valuation Tribunal
- Ensure compliance with government legislation and regulations
- Maximise revenue collection and complete government returns and annual billing
- Identify opportunities to improve established processes and drive further efficiencies
Requirements:
- Extensive experience of using revenue software, preferably Academy systems
- Experience of using a document management system
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work with complex cases and appeals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
