About This Role:

We are seeking an experienced Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) to join our client's multidisciplinary team in Milton Keynes.

This is a permanent position offering 40 hours per week, full-time employment with a competitive salary of £36,419 per annum.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with diagnosed Learning Disabilities or ASD, including initial assessments, care planning, and follow-up.

You will participate in processes designed to support patients at risk of self-harm or suicide, in line with NICE Guidance.

Additionally, you will attend monthly supervision with your line manager and complete annual EDR to review targets, progression, and learning objectives.

Requirements:

  • Participate in weekly Integrated Mental Health Team Referrals meetings
  • Manage a caseload of patients with complex needs
  • Provide training and advice to staff on caring for patients with Learning Disabilities
  • Use excellent communication, interpersonal skills, patience, and resilience to support patients effectively
  • Hold Part 1 NMC registration
  • Hold a degree-level qualification or higher
  • Have experience working in a secure environment
  • Have evidence of further development of clinical practice
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
