About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant for Special Needs, you will be part of a collaborative team that provides high-quality education and support to students with diverse needs. Your main responsibility will be to support students with autism in a way that promotes their engagement, motivation, and progress.

This role requires a patient and empathetic individual who can build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents. You will work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement effective support strategies that cater to the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students with autism, helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons
  • Developing and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and social interactions
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to meeting the needs of students with autism
