Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Assurance Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Product Safety & Environmental team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our cutting-edge products, including radar and simulation systems.
About the Role:
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain safety cases for our products, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- You will have a strong understanding of safety engineering principles and practices, as well as experience with assurance methodologies.
- You will provide technical guidance and support to project teams, helping to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
- You will stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and trends, applying your knowledge to improve our safety processes and procedures.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Hold an Engineering or related degree (or equivalent) and have a clear understanding of safety engineering principles and practices.
- Hold IEng status or be working towards it.
- Have experience with safety legislation and standards, particularly in the UK and international context.
- Be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
