A supportive SEN Learning Support Assistant is required to join our team at a well-regarded secondary school in Clapham. Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to students with speech and language needs, ensuring they have the opportunity to fully engage in classroom activities.
  • Assist speech and language therapists during sessions, adapting strategies to reinforce progress in the classroom setting.
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers, therapists, and the SENCO to refine individualized support plans.
  • Help foster students' confidence and social skills through positive interactions, encouraging communication in both academic and social settings.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in speech and language support, either in an educational or clinical setting, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach to student support.
  • Up-to-date DBS check (required).
