Job Description

We are seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant with experience in waste facility development and permitting. As a member of our established successful team, you will prepare regulatory applications to support the development of major waste management facilities, including treatment plants, EfW, and landfills. Your work will include the preparation of Environmental Permits and planning applications, as well as the technical reports needed to support these applications.

Key Responsibilities

Effective liaison with clients and regulatory authorities, excellent written and personal communication skills, and a thorough understanding of the relevant regulatory regimes are essential for this role. You will work on a wide range of technical, scientific, and engineering subjects, including environmental impact studies, risk assessments, technical design, civils contract management, site investigations, and contaminated land assessment.

Requirements

A relevant first degree and preferably a higher degree in a relevant scientific discipline are required. Chartered status and/or membership of a relevant scientific or engineering professional institution would be an advantage. We will consider candidates from a wide variety of technical backgrounds, with particular preference given to those with experience in hydrogeology, environmental chemistry, and related disciplines.
