About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Teaching Assistant to support learners with specific needs in our Adult Learning service. As a key member of our team, you will assist tutors in preparing and delivering lessons for learners in a group setting, ensuring a tailored approach to meet the unique needs and challenges faced by our learners.

Our service, rated Good by Ofsted, delivers Adult Skills and Community Learning provision throughout Cumbria. We are committed to transforming the lives of our most disadvantaged communities, enhancing employment opportunities, and meeting the needs of local employers.

As a Senior Teaching Assistant, you will work with learners of all abilities and skill levels, from absolute beginner to intermediate and beyond. You will need to demonstrate the ability to help learners succeed with a range of learning styles and support learners with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist tutors in preparing and delivering lessons for learners in a group setting
  • Support learners with specific needs, using a variety of strategies
  • Work with learners of all abilities and skill levels
  • Collaborate with tutors to ensure a tailored approach to meet learner needs
