Job Title: Hybrid Litigation Solicitor

MCS Group is seeking a skilled Solicitor to join their defence litigation team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for advising insurers and corporate clients in the defence of claims of all values, types, and complexity.

The successful candidate will work within the firm's motor team, handling all types of motor injury, credit hire, and damage cases. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a highly competitive base salary and chance for long-term progression.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run and assist with a varied case load of pre-litigation and litigated work with the appropriate levels of supervision.
  • Hit, maintain, and apply a consistent approach to all individual targets of financial performance, realisation rates, settlement rate, and average claim spend.
  • Support marketing and business development activity within the team.
  • Assume responsibility for quality control and benchmark compliance on own caseload.
  • Maintain an awareness of firm's procedures and strategies.
  • Maintain and develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions and reading appropriate publications.
Requirements:
  • 0-2 year PQE Solicitor interested in developing a role within a busy motor team.
  • Litigation experience.
  • A keen interest and enthusiasm for motor work and the demands of our clients.
  • Able to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues with a concern for quality of service.
  • A confident communicator who can communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form.
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to effectively prioritise and manage own workload.
