Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Class 1 HGV drivers to join our team at SolviT Recruitment Ltd. As a Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of goods across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and report any defects.
  • Load and secure goods correctly before transporting them.
  • Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner, adhering to drivers' working time regulations.
  • Verify deliveries with customers, providing excellent customer service and obtaining necessary signatures and paperwork.

Requirements:

  • Class 1 licence
  • Current DQC card and Digital Taco card
  • At least 12 months of experience driving on UK roads
  • No more than 6 points on your licence (excluding IN DR or DD codes)
  • Good physical fitness
  • Excellent customer service skills

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £15-£18
  • Flexibility with ad-hoc shifts or full weeks
  • Weekly pay
