Process Development Scientist Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced scientists to join our Process Development team as Senior Scientists.

You will be involved in various activities including vector production at laboratory and pilot scales, process development and optimisation, technology transfer and process validation activities. We require candidates who can analyse and interpret experimental data and communicate results effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include writing, revising, reviewing and approving SOPs, technical reports and risk assessments. Additionally, ensuring that experiments are conducted efficiently and safely according to Oxford Biomedica HSE procedures.

Requirements
  • BSc, MSc or PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant Bioscience
  • Strong understanding of downstream purification principles and laboratory experience in areas such as clarification, chromatography, tangential flow filtration and sterile filtration
  • Demonstrated expertise in process scale-up and tech transfer
  • Practical experience with laboratory, pilot or production-scale downstream purification processes
  • Knowledge of laboratory health and safety practices
  • Proficiency in data capture, reporting and management tools
  • Experience with data analysis software packages such as Excel, JMP and GraphPad Prism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
