About the Role:

As a Strategic Product Leader at Igbaffiliate, you will play a pivotal role in driving the operational management of one of our flagship products. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role is responsible for overseeing the profit and loss (P&L) for the product, leading cross-functional teams, and driving initiatives with intent and purpose to optimize performance and achieve revenue and EBITDA targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Take ownership of the profit and loss statement for the assigned product, including revenue, expenses, and profitability analysis.
  2. Develop and implement strategies in conjunction with the squad to maximize revenue and profitability while managing costs effectively.
  3. Lead a diverse team of professionals across various functions (a squad), and collaborate regularly with the commercial and product teams.
  4. Manage the budget for the product, including forecasting, planning, and monitoring expenses to ensure financial targets are met.
  5. Identify opportunities for business growth, cost optimization, and efficiency improvements.
  6. Set clear and measurable success metrics and objectives and key results (OKRs) for the product and squad, aligned with overall company goals.
  7. Ensure accountability and operational alignment by establishing and leading recurring squad ceremonies (daily standups, retrospectives, metrics review, etc.) and any other process that will foster an efficiency-oriented culture in the squad.
  8. Track progress against OKRs and adjust strategies with the squad as needed to achieve targets.
  9. Understand all relevant metrics and targets for the product, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and funnel metrics.
  10. Maintain a view on the overall performance of all funnel metrics, using relevant insights or expertise from dedicated teams.
  11. Monitor performance closely, identifying variances and issues proactively, and discussing and implementing corrective actions with the squad as necessary.
  12. Drive initiatives and projects with the squad to increase revenue and improve EBITDA margins, leveraging insights from data analysis and market trends.
  13. Measure and report on the success of initiatives, highlighting improvements in revenue and profitability.
  14. Provide regular insights and reports to the General Manager, COO, or others, as requested or on an as-needed basis.
  15. Keep up to date with industry trends and insights and competitor analysis to enable informed strategic decision-making and knowledge cascading.
  16. Collaborate with other P&L owners and peers to establish synergies, parallel experiments, and exchange insights and learnings to benefit the overall business.
  17. Proactively raise and/or participate in cross-team projects for revenue/cost optimization for the company.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Managing team performance effectively through ongoing performance management, including conducting performance reviews and regular 1-1 meetings.
  • Leading by example by delivering positive results and being a visible Catena ambassador.
  • Communicating effectively and ensuring information is delivered in a clear and timely manner.
  • Taking ownership of recruitment and selection for your team by working closely with HR and TA teams.
  • Enabling team and individual growth from induction stage to ongoing learning and development.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the affiliate marketing or related industry.
  3. Demonstrated ability to drive results and achieve business objectives through strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and effective execution.
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  5. Experience working with cross-functional teams and in a matrix organizational structure is an advantage.
  6. Solid understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
  7. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Compensation Package: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonuses.
