Job Overview
   VANRATH is assisting a large Public Sector Organisation in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, with their search for an experienced Contract Negotiator to oversee 3 months of construction programmes initially, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based predominantly at the client's site in Craigavon.

Responsibilities
   Develop specifications, drawings, bills of quantities, and schedules of rates for tender invitations and quotations. Collaborate with the procurement team on pilot schemes to ensure suitable contracts are in place. Utilise knowledge of quantity surveying software packages effectively. Interpret contract terms and conditions to manage commercial risk, ensure accurate payments, and advise on strategies to reduce risk and improve performance. Monitor budgets, undertake benchmark reviews, forecast cash flow, and implement effective cost management practices. Evaluate tenders, check documents, prepare agreements, and administer contracts to guarantee maximum value for money. Facilitate dialogue between contractors and consultants to ensure smooth project progression. Authorise certificates, instructions, and invoices for payment. Ensure correct cost centre allocation, priority, and appropriateness of works descriptions, including approval of time and cost variations when necessary.

Requirements
   A degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in Building/Construction plus 1 year of relevant experience or BTEC Higher (Level 5) qualification with 2 years' experience. Alternatively, demonstrate equivalent professional development/experiential learning with 3 years' relevant experience. Remuneration: c£32,000 per annum plus discount benefits.
