Automotive Systems Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Systems Specialist to join our team as a Vehicle Maintenance Expert. As a Mechanic and Diagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle services and repairs, examining vehicles and diagnosing non-routine defects, and reporting defects against Department of Environment (MOT) and Vehicle Safety Report (VSR) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out vehicle services and repairs
- Examining vehicles and diagnosing non-routine defects
- Report defects against Department of Environment (MOT) and Vehicle Safety Report (VSR) standards
- Carrying out jobs within budgeted time, maintain your teams productivity
- Taking responsibility for daily maintenance of tools and equipment, reporting any defects
- Working in accordance with key Toyota or Centre processes
- Liaising with customers directly where relevant and appropriate, listening carefully to build rapport and answering questions in a warm and professional manner to summarise details of work required or carried out
- Coaching and supporting apprentice technicians, explaining, guiding and enabling others to learn
- Attending specialised training as required
- Working as a full member of the Centre team, working with colleagues to provide a seamless and outstanding service to customers
About You:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanic and Diagnostic Technician who is passionate about problem-solving and finding solutions to challenges. You will have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in light vehicle maintenance (or comparable) and a minimum of 12 months experience within a workshop as a technician. You will also have a full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
