About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Projects Department. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and controlling projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review and analyze client purchase orders and attachments, as well as all Sales handover documentation.
  2. Issue job instructions and coordinate with internal departments and specialists to ensure completion of job instructions.
  3. Develop and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  4. Monitor the development of Quality Plans and ensure they are implemented effectively.
  5. Draft and issue all material, fabrication, and equipment purchase order requisitions and specifications.
  6. Review and evaluate sub-contractor bids, including technical aspects.
  7. Distribute and review drawings and documents to clients and sellers, and monitor their timely and quality submission.
  8. Compile and control necessary contract variations, status reports, shipping lists, erection instructions, and installation, start-up, and maintenance instructions.
  9. Manage sub-contractors to ensure the product is supplied to order and specifications, and within the contracted delivery date, to fulfill overall project objectives.
  10. Undertake duties and responsibilities as described, managing and controlling contracts to achieve completion in time within budget, as directed by the Projects Director/Project Engineering Manager.
  11. Travel to meetings with clients and suppliers as required.

Requirements

  1. Hold qualifications to HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline, or have a strong project engineering or project management background within a technical environment.
  2. Have previous experience working in a project environment, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  3. Possess high standards of analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  4. Have good commercial acumen.
  5. Be extremely organized with good attention to detail.
  6. Able to plan, manage, and prioritize a diverse workload.
  7. Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure.

The Package

The salary for this position is £30,000-£60,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
