Stroke Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stroke Physician to join our dynamic team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our stroke service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Participating in a 7-day inpatient stroke rota, including hyperacute and acute care, with a focus on delivering excellent patient outcomes.
- Leading and developing the educational requirements of the stroke service, ensuring that our team stays up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and research.
- Contributing to the development of our stroke service, including participating in quality improvement initiatives and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care.
- Providing daily TIA clinics and weekly outpatient clinics, reviewing new referrals and stroke follow-ups, and developing effective treatment plans for our patients.
- Participating in additional activities, such as acute medicine on-call rota or regional telemedicine rota, to support the growth and development of our service.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will possess:
- GMC registration and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Stroke or within six months of expected date of CCT (or be eligible for entry onto these registers within 6 months of application).
