Job Title: Chief Credit Officer

We are seeking an experienced Chief Credit Officer to join our team in the Utilities sector. As a key member of our Corporate Credit unit, you will be responsible for managing an active portfolio of counterparties and undertaking independent credit assessments of proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of counterparties in the Utilities sector, identifying and analyzing key risks and developing recommendations for presentation to sanctioners.
  • Undertake independent credit assessments of proposals, using external research and credit rating agencies to assess the creditworthiness of customers.
  • Collaborate with originators, relationship managers, and product partners to shape credit proposals and maintain a balance of risk and reward.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, escalating emerging risks to senior management and ensuring compliance with Lloyds Banking Group and regulatory policy.
  • Lead credit-focused meetings with external clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge and significant experience of corporate credit analysis, preferably in Regulated Utilities and Integrated Utilities.
  • Evidence of relevant credit experience assessing large corporates with a proven track record of consistent performance.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to understand and manipulate complex financial models, with strong Excel skills.
